a blog about our homeschool journey and taking action and accepting responsibility for who our child becomes, as opposed to feed him to the public school system and hoping he turns out alright despite it..

resources and human skeletal system
Hello all, I am Melissa, mom of 4, homeschooler of 1. I homeschooled my oldest, but that has been many moons ago, and times have changed so much that it is like starting over and learning it all again. Thank goodness though, that homeschooling is becoming more popular now, and there are many many more resources available now than there was 10 years ago.
Now, before we go forth let me just start by saying for you blood sucking neck biters who are going to pounce on me for my spelling, puncuation, gramatical errors, or whatever other things complainers like to complain about. You are free to leave.. The exit is at the top right corner.. See ya!!!
For those interested in what I have to say, no matter how I might say it.. I want to share some links that we are loving so far..
http://www.ixl.com is a wonderful math resource. I am using it with my homeschooler, and also with the two that are attending public school, just as an aid. Its well worth the few dollars a month membership
http://www.flashcardmachine.com a free site but requires sign up.. But lots of flashcards on EVERY subject
http://www.explorelearning.com just found this but it looks like its going to be very useful, the only problem is that it doesn't come with answer keys to the exercises but thats ok, my son and I will just find the answers together..
We are trying to learn the human skeletal system right now, and would love to hear how you guys taught it to your own homeschooler, I haven't come up with any creative, interesting ways to teach this, and we aren't really into the nose to a textbook method.. Thats boring.. So comment and tell me how you did it..
